Terms and conditions of the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress 2026

§ 1

General provisions

  1. These Terms and conditions have been prepared to define the terms and conditions of participation in the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress, which will be organised on 4–5 November 2026 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange Centre, ul. Książęca 4, Warsaw, by Fundacja „Centrum Myśli Strategicznych”.
  2. The abbreviations used in these Rules and Regulations shall have the following meanings:
    1. Congress – the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress;
    2. Participant – any person who has registered to participate in the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress in accordance with these Rules and Regulations;
    3. Organiser or Foundation – Fundacja „Centrum Myśli Strategicznych”, with its registered office in Sopot, ul. Powstańców Warszawy 19, 81-718 Sopot, entered in the Register of Associations, Other Social and Professional Organisations, Foundations and Independent Public Healthcare Institutions maintained by the District Court Gdańsk-Północ in Gdańsk, 8th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000571469, Tax Identification Number (NIP) 5851471831 and National Business Registry Number (REGON) 362258560;
    4. Civil Code – the Act of 23 April 1964 – the Civil Code, consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1740, as amended;
    5. GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, General Data Protection Regulation, Official Journal of the European Union L 119/1 of 2016.
  3. The provisions of these Terms and conditions, together with Appendix 1, shall also apply to participation in the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress where its date or venue is changed.
  4. The Organiser provides information concerning the Congress by telephone at +48 58 355 53 70 and by email at [poczta@efcongress.com](mailto:poczta@efcongress.com).
  5. Reading and accepting these Rules and Regulations is a necessary condition of participation in the Congress.

§ 2

Registration for the Congress and payments

  1. Participants may attend the Congress at the Congress venue, in person.
  2. Only persons aged 18 or over may participate in the Congress.
  3. The conditions for participating in the Congress at the Congress venue are:
    1. registration using the registration form available at: https://rejestracja.efcongress.com.pl/wydarzenie/kongres-bankowosci-korporacyjnej-i-inwestycyjnej-2026/;
    2. providing the mandatory consents contained in the form; and
    3. paying the participation fee.
      Each Participant should complete the registration form independently and on their own behalf and provide the mandatory consents required during registration.
  4. Registration for Participants will open on 24 June 2026 and close on 22 October 2026.
  5. Within 24 hours, the Organiser will send confirmation that the registration application has been received to the email address provided during registration. This confirmation does not constitute confirmation of participation in the Congress. Participation in the Congress is possible only after the participation fee has been paid.
  6. The basic fee for the participation of one Participant in the Congress is as follows – Participation at the Congress venue, referred to as in-person participation:
    1. Standard price: PLN 1,476 gross, comprising PLN 1,200 net plus 23% VAT, provided that payment for participation in the Congress is made by the deadline specified in the pro forma invoice.
      The Standard price referred to in paragraph 6(a) of this section includes
        • participation in all events forming part of the official Congress programme;
        • a package of Congress materials;
        • coffee breaks on 4–5 November 2026.
          A VAT invoice will be issued and submitted to the Polish National e-Invoicing System, KSeF, no later than the 15th day of the month following the month in which payment was made.
  7. Payment must be made within seven days of receiving confirmation that the application to participate in the Congress has been accepted, to the Organiser’s bank account: Centrum Myśli Strategicznych, ul. Powstańców Warszawy 19, 81-718 Sopot, mBank S.A., Account number: 69 1140 2004 0000 3702 7582 9433, SWIFT code: BREXPLPWMBK
    The payment date shall be the date on which the fee is credited to the Organiser’s bank account.
  8. A consumer who has entered into a distance contract or an off-premises contract has the right to withdraw from that contract without providing a reason within 14 days.
  9. Online payment services are provided by Autopay S.A., with its registered office in Sopot. The following payment cards are accepted: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic and Maestro.
  10. If payment is not made within seven days of the registration date, the registration will be cancelled. Where payment is made after 22 October 2026, the Participant must send confirmation of the bank transfer to the Organiser at [poczta@efcongress.com](mailto:poczta@efcongress.com) or present such confirmation when collecting their identification badge on the day of the Congress.
  11. Once the fee has been credited to the Organiser’s bank account, confirmation of participation in the Congress will be sent by email. This completes the registration process and entitles the Participant to attend the Congress.
  12. Where the Client chooses payment by bank transfer, electronic payment or payment card, payment shall be deemed to have been made on the date on which the Seller’s bank account is credited.
  13. A refund of the fee paid for participation in the Congress shall be available only in the cases expressly specified in these Rules and Regulations.
  14. Participants and payers consent to VAT invoices being issued and received electronically. Centrum Myśli Strategicznych is registered as an active VAT taxpayer.
  15. The Organiser does not provide accommodation or transport for Participants. In particular, the fees referred to in paragraph 6 do not include travel and accommodation costs associated with participation in the Congress, which must be covered individually by each Participant.

§ 3

Venue, date and programme of the Congress

  1. The Congress will take place on 4–5 November 2026. The Organiser may also set a different date for the Congress.
  2. The Congress will take place at the Warsaw Stock Exchange Centre, ul. Książęca 4, Warsaw. The Organiser may change the Congress venue or, depending on the circumstances, decide that the Congress will be held wholly or partly online.
  3. The Organiser will promptly inform Participants of any change to the date, venue or format of the Congress on the website https://www.efcongress.com/kbk/ and by email.
  4. If the Congress is rescheduled, changed to an online format or shortened, the Participant may cancel their participation within 14 days of the date on which the Organiser sends notification of the change by email. In the event of cancellation, the Organiser will refund the participation fee to the bank account from which it was paid within no more than one month of receiving the cancellation notice. Apart from the refund referred to in the preceding sentence, the Participant shall have no claims against the Organiser arising from the change made by the Organiser, including claims for reimbursement of transport or accommodation costs.
  5. If no cancellation notice is submitted in accordance with paragraph 4 above, the Participant shall be deemed to have accepted the change announced by the Organiser and shall have no claims against the Organiser arising from that change.
  6. If the Congress is moved to an alternative or different date or changed to an online format, the existing Participant may provide the details of a replacement Participant in accordance with § 4(4), provided that the replacement Participant’s details are submitted, the registration form available on the website is completed and the mandatory consents contained in that form are provided within 14 days of the date on which the Organiser sends the existing Participant notification of the change to the conditions under which the Congress is to be held.
  7. In the event of cancellation under paragraphs 4 and 5 above, the provisions of § 4(1)–(3) of these Rules and Regulations shall not apply.
  8. The Congress programme is available at https://www.efcongress.com/kbk/. The Organiser reserves the right to change the programme. Such a change shall not entitle the Participant to exercise the cancellation rights described in paragraphs 4 and 5 of this section or to make any other claims against the Organiser.
  9. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Congress. In such a case, the Organiser will refund the participation fee paid by the Participant. Apart from the refund referred to in the preceding sentence, the Participant shall have no claims against the Organiser arising from the cancellation, including claims for reimbursement of transport or accommodation costs.
  10. The Organiser’s rights described in this section may also be exercised after the Congress has commenced.

§ 4

Cancellation or replacement of a Participant

  1. Cancellation of participation in the Congress, whether for reasons attributable or not attributable to the Participant, is possible only by submitting a cancellation notice to the Organiser by email.
  2. If the cancellation notice is delivered to the Organiser no later than 14 October 2026, the Organiser will refund the full fee paid by the Participant to the bank account from which it was paid, no later than 30 November 2026. The Seller will refund the payment using the same payment method used by the consumer unless the consumer expressly agrees to another method of reimbursement that does not result in any costs for the consumer.
  3. If the cancellation notice is delivered after 14 October 2026 or no such notice is submitted and the Participant does not attend the Congress or any part of it, the Participant shall not be entitled to a refund of the fee or to make any other claims against the Organiser.
  4. A person registered to participate in the Congress may be replaced without payment of an additional fee, with the fee already paid credited towards the replacement Participant’s participation, provided that all the following conditions are met by 22 October 2026: the Organiser receives the replacement Participant’s details by email; the replacement Participant meets all the requirements specified in these Rules and Regulations; the replacement Participant completes the registration form available at: https://rejestracja.efcongress.com.pl/wydarzenie/kongres-bankowosci-korporacyjnej-i-inwestycyjnej-2026/; and the replacement Participant provides the mandatory consents contained in the form.
  5. Except in the case described in paragraph 4 above, changing the Participant, including reselling the right to participate in the Congress, is not permitted.

§ 5

Identification, security and rules governing conduct during the Congress

  1. During the Congress, the Participant is required to behave courteously, comply with generally accepted standards of social conduct and follow the Organiser’s instructions.
  2. Possession of an identification badge entitles the Participant to enter events connected with the Congress. The identification badge will be issued to the Participant on the first day of the Congress.
  3. If administrative decisions require the permitted number of Participants attending the Congress at the venue to be reduced, the Organiser may ask the most recently registered Participants to cancel their participation in the Congress. The number of persons permitted to participate in person will depend on the government guidelines applicable at the relevant time. Applications will be considered in the order in which they were submitted.
    If a Participant is required to cancel their participation at the Organiser’s request, the Organiser will refund the participation fee or offer to credit the fee towards participation in another event organised by Centrum Myśli Strategicznych. Apart from the refund referred to in the preceding sentence, the Participant shall have no claims against the Organiser, including claims for reimbursement of transport or accommodation costs.
  4. Participants are prohibited from carrying out any commercial, sales, advertising, promotional or campaigning activities or organising fundraising activities without the Organiser’s prior approval. Activities contrary to applicable law are also prohibited.
  5. The Coordinator shall not be liable for any property belonging to a Participant that is lost, stolen or damaged during the Congress.

§ 6

Participants’ image rights

  1. Acceptance of these Rules and Regulations means, in particular, that where a Participant’s image is recorded in connection with their participation in the Congress, whether in person or remotely, the Participant consents, pursuant to Article 81(1) of the Act of 4 February 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights, Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1231, as amended, to the Organiser using and disseminating their image free of charge.
    Each Participant acknowledges that their image may be disseminated by the above-mentioned entities, among other things, for the purposes of promoting and providing information about the Congress or the Foundation’s activities, at any chosen place and time and in any form of presentation, including as a still image, photograph or film. This applies both during and after the Congress and through broadly understood media, including the Internet, social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, the press and the website https://www.efcongress.com/.
    Withdrawal of consent to the use or dissemination of the Participant’s image during the Congress will prevent the Participant from continuing to participate in the Congress.
  2. The above consent to the use and dissemination of the Participant’s image includes, in particular, the following fields of exploitation:
    1. any reproduction using any technique, including on audiovisual media, using photosensitive, digital or computer-recording techniques and through multimedia networks, including the Internet;
    2. editing and processing;
    3. entering the image into computer memory, the memory of another device and multimedia networks, including the Internet;
    4. any form of dissemination, including in printed form, as a digital recording or through multimedia transmission;
    5. any disposal of the original or copies on which the image has been recorded, including placing them on the market, also using the Internet and other data transmission technologies based on telecommunications, IT and wireless networks, lending, rental or making the original or copies available for use under another legal relationship;
    6. public performance, exhibition, display, playback, broadcasting and rebroadcasting, as well as making the image publicly available in such a manner that anyone may access it at a place and time individually chosen by them, particularly through websites and social media platforms;
    7. use in multimedia works.
  3. Recording or otherwise capturing the Congress or Participants, as well as disseminating recordings, photographs, publications or other materials obtained in connection with the Congress, requires the Organiser’s prior written consent, failing which such actions shall be null and void.
  4. The Organiser shall not be liable for the recording, capture or dissemination of a Participant’s image by other Participants or other persons.

§ 7

Final provisions

  1. Matters not regulated by these Rules and Regulations shall be governed by the applicable provisions of law, including the Civil Code and the GDPR.
  2. These Terms and conditions enter into force on 24 June 2026 and shall remain effective until revoked.
  3. The Organiser is the controller of Participants’ personal data. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the GDPR. Detailed information concerning the processing of personal data is set out in Appendix 1 to these Rules and Regulations.
  4. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Rules and Regulations and will promptly notify Participants of any such amendments.

Appendix 1 to the Terms and conditions – GDPR privacy notice

In fulfilment of its obligations under the GDPR, the Organiser provides the following information concerning the processing of your personal data:

  • The controller of your personal data will be Fundacja „Centrum Myśli Strategicznych”, with its registered office in Sopot, ul. Powstańców Warszawy 19, 81-718 Sopot, entered in the Register of Associations, Other Social and Professional Organisations, Foundations and Independent Public Healthcare Institutions maintained by the District Court Gdańsk-Północ in Gdańsk, 8th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000571469, Tax Identification Number (NIP) 5851471831 and National Business Registry Number (REGON) 362258560, telephone: +48 58 355 53 70, email: [kontakt@fundacjacms.pl](mailto:kontakt@fundacjacms.pl), hereinafter referred to as the **Controller**.
  • Your data will not be processed by automated means, including profiling. The Controller does not intend to transfer your personal data to third countries.
  • The registration form for participation in the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress, hereinafter referred to as the Congress, available at: https://rejestracja.efcongress.com.pl/wydarzenie/kongres-bankowosci-korporacyjnej-i-inwestycyjnej-2026/ contains fields in which consents concerning the processing of personal data may be provided:
    1. Consent to the processing of personal data provided in the registration form for the purpose of participating in the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress**, including first name, surname, position, country, business address, home address, email address, telephone number, date, IP address and gender. This consent is mandatory. Failure to provide it will prevent participation in the Congress. The data specified in the form is necessary to organise and conduct the Congress, including confirming the reservation of your participation, settling payments and preparing identification badges. The personal data specified above will be processed for the period necessary to settle matters relating to the Congress, until any potential financial claims become time-barred and until the expiry of the retention periods specified in accounting legislation. The legal basis for processing the personal data provided in the registration form is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
    2. Consent to the processing of your image in connection with participation in the Congress. This consent is mandatory. Failure to provide it will prevent participation in the Congress. Consent is necessary because the Congress will be recorded and documented, and materials from the Congress may be disseminated in accordance with § 6 of the Rules and Regulations. Your image may be processed and disseminated until you withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data. Withdrawal of consent shall not apply, in particular, to promotional materials published before the date on which consent was withdrawn. The legal basis for processing your image as personal data is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
    3. Consent to receive the Controller’s newsletter electronically. This consent is voluntary. Failure to provide it means that the Controller will not send you the newsletter. The purpose of this consent is to enable the Controller to provide you with information about its activities. The Controller may send such information and materials until you withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter.

The legal basis for processing personal data for the purpose of sending the newsletter is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

  • For statistical purposes or purposes connected with organising the Congress, the personal data provided in the online registration form may be transferred to the Congress Partners and Co-organisers.
  • In addition to paragraph 4 above, where you provide consent in the relevant field of the registration form, your personal data, comprising your first name, surname and company, may be disclosed to Co-organisers and Partners for the marketing purposes of the relevant Co-organiser or Partner acting as a data controller.
  • Providing this consent is voluntary. Failure to provide it means that your personal data will not be transferred to Partners and Co-organisers for processing for marketing purposes.
  • Recipients of your personal data may also include entities with which the Controller cooperates in organising the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress, including accounting firms, security companies, payment service providers and hotels.
  • You have the right to withdraw any consent you have provided at any time and free of charge. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of that consent before its withdrawal.
  • Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, you have the right to request access to your data, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of its processing and data portability, and to object to its processing.
  • You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.
